The Pyjama Foundation loves to work with schools to highlight the importance of literacy in the community, and to support our Love of Learning Program. There are thousands of activities you can do at your school, here are just a few:
-
Hold a free dress day (gold coin donation) where children wear pyjamas.
-
Add a colouring-in competition, decorate a special spot in the library or discuss your favourite book.
-
Join in the Reading Frenzy – click through above for more information or to register.
-
Join in our Pyjama Drive – collect brand new pyjamas for children in care.
-
Download The Pyjama Foundation School Resource Pack for activities and examples from other schools.
The Pyjama Foundation encourages any support your school can provide. For more information or to discuss an idea please contact Hannah Jones, Public Relations and Communication Co-ordinator on 07 3262 5569 or email Hannah@thepyjamafoundation.com

The
Pyjama Foundation Reading Frenzy is an online read-a-thon where
you can win great prizes, blog about your favourite books and
help raise money for a great cause. It’s easy to sign up as a
school or register as an individual and runs for two weeks from
19/4/2010 to 30/4/2010.
Here’s
how to get ready for school super-quick: stay in your PJs! This
is a great way to highlight the joys – and importance – of
reading. As well as a fun day for the kids in their pyjamas,
literacy-based activities and competitions offer an opportunity
to engage the children.
