The Pyjama Foundation loves to partner with schools to highlight the importance of literacy in the community, and to support our Love of Learning Program. Both The Reading Frenzy and Pyjama Day campaigns are simple to organise and enjoyable for staff and students.
For those schools wanting to promote the initiatives further, the visual of everyone in pyjamas and students participating in the Reading Frenzy is likely to generate positive media for the school.
Ashgrove State School Principal Patrick Murphy said it was every child’s dream and every teacher’s worst nightmare to turn up to school wearing pyjamas.
“Some
children aren’t as lucky as ours to be read to and have a mentor
inspiring literacy – the Pyjama Day is a great and simple initiative to
symbolise what The Pyjama Foundation represents and foster a love of
learning,” Patrick said.
The Pyjama Foundation encourages any support your school can provide. For more information or to discuss an idea please contact Hannah Jones, Public Relations and Communication Co-ordinator on 07 3262 5569 or email Hannah@thepyjamafoundation.com
