for our program.
‘I think this program is …fantastic…the volunteers who come are well loved.
It is fantastic social contact for the children to be able to relate to people
outside the home. Once you become a foster carer you lose contact with many of
your friends so the kids don’t get to socialize’.
‘This program’s strengths assists boys to benefit socially and… interact with people outside the home. It is hard for these children to interact and trust people’.
‘This time each week gives me some personal space. The children meet their ladies at the door and they all adore their Pyjama Angels. I can’t speak highly enough of the volunteers who have come to read. There is very little else out there in regards to support’.
‘Pyjama Angels bring little gifts for the children, which make them feel special. They will sit and look at their book or car magazine for hours at a time. The girls are lovely to talk to and…this support is great for me. I think this is a wonderful program’.
