Q. What is your favorite childhood book and why?

A. Dr Seuss.

Q. Who read books aloud to you as a child, i.e. Mum, Dad, school teacher?

A. Mostly my school teacher.

Q. Favorite place to read a book?

A. In bed.

Q. Why do you think it is important to read books aloud to kids?

A. Valuable and quality "us" time.

Q. What is your favorite food, as a kid?

A. My auntie’s Coconut Caramel Crunch Cake… basically a bag of sugar!

Q. What is your favorite sport?

A. Rugby!

Q. What do you think are the long term benefits of reading?

A. Fires up both children’s and adult’s imagination. No movie will EVER be as good as the book!

Q. Name a book you secretly like, but never admitted you’ve read?

A. You think I’m going to admit to it now?

Q. Do you still have books from your childhood?? which ones??

A. Yes – my Dr Seuss collection which I’ve passed on to my kids.

Q. What books to you like to read to your children?

A. I don’t have much choice – they both love fantasy novels.

Q. If you could be any character out of a book, who would you be, and why?

A. Schroeder - from Peanuts. He plays a mean piano, is sporty (he’s the catcher on the baseball team), and is the strong silent type and the object of Lucy van Pelt's unrequited infatuation. He’s Charlie Brown’s closest friend … and is still only 8 years old
